Manager, Business Intelligence and Analytics
Full-Time

Position Overview: This position will be responsible for creating business value through data insights and analytics  for the company. This role is responsible for conducting data analysis, visualization, modeling, capacity planning,  budgeting, forecasting, requirement gathering, and reporting. This role will collaborate with the leadership team and  stakeholders to identify opportunities and insights to improve the performance/customer service of the business; and  forecast passenger volume. The primary responsibility for this position is to maintain operational excellence of  Terminal 4 operations and to achieve continuous improvements based on insights and analytics. This role reports to  the Vice President, Operations.   

FLSA Status: Exempt  

Salary Range: $107,000-$130,000


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize PowerBI dashboards, analytic reports, and data visualizations by documenting user requirements for all departments.
  • Ensure data integrity collected by and reported from systems such as Crowd Vision, Beonic, AeroBahn, IAuditor,
  • Copenhagen Optimization, and JCAII by performing comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Mentor Operations Supervisors and other managers on leveraging data-driven tools and making informed decisions based on data analysis.
  • Manage large-scale data-related projects such as new software procurement/development, AI/ML initiatives, data warehouse creation, passenger flow systems, and other critical operational initiatives.
  • Provide expert consultation to internal and external senior leaders to enhance business decision-making, performance, and customer experience.
  • Perform data mining in the data lake using SQL and other tools to extract valuable insights by serving as the subject matter expert for the company's data lake, understanding where and how data is stored.
  • Create internal and external plans for Terminal 4 involving quantitative, qualitative, and predictive analysis in all areas of operation. Develop and monitor passenger volume forecasts and benchmark performance internally and externally.
  • Develop and maintain monthly metrics dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and analyze business and marketing metrics, holding teams accountable to goals and objectives.
  • Use multiple data sources to create and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Conduct ad hoc deep dives as required to uncover insights and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine preventive maintenance or process improvement project schedules and timelines, minimizing impact on regular terminal operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business analytics, statistics, business intelligence, or related field or experience.
  • 5 years’ experience performing Operations business analysis/intelligence, such as quantitative and qualitative analysis, predictive analytics, business case development, operations analysis, etc.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

Special Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances required to work at an airport
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Valid Passport with ability to obtain travel Visa / Travel Authorization as required

Knowledge

  • Core competencies in statistics, visualization, and data mining and modeling.
  • Experience and understanding of a wide variety of analytical processes, tools, and approaches.
  • High level understanding of data gathering and transformation tools

Skills

  • Expert Level PowerBI or Tableau (Inclusive of Dax Programming)
  • Intermediate Level of SQL Developer (Oracle)
  • Predictive Modeling/Forecasting (Time Series Analysis & Other Regression Initiatives)
  • Expert Level of Microsoft Excel (VBA, PowerQuery, and Access Add ins)

  • Aviation industry experience preferred.
